“Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings way all the same, knowing she has wings” – Victor Hugo
Another month has passed by and this week’s project is for ‘A Creative Need’ monthly challenge blog where I am also a DT member.. I hope my project inspires you to create and submit your work to this challenge… Here is the digital image I worked with.
Another beautiful image designed by Deena, the creator of ‘A Creative Need’… Lovely, very lovely in deed!! Every morning I am awaken by the birds singing, which I love listening to them, I couldn’t wish for a better music…
They say that a bird is an inspiring animal that symbolizes freedom and spiritual growth to people… Birds have inspired human beings throughout history with their ability to rise above the Earth…Well, I thought, these wonderful words should get me inspired, no doubt!!
Looking at the image, I was thinking of spring time, the beautiful sun shine and the need of opening up like a flower bud, letting go of everything that is keeping me rigid and closed up, worries, preoccupations, stress.., I wanted to fly up-high, away from the busy and hectic live I am having these days…, free as a bird… As I kept looking at the lovely image I felt the need to breathe very deeply, being out doors… I went for a very walk and practised mindfulness while admiring the bright colours that nature begins to display in spring time.., Oh! the intoxicating and wonderful smell of the beautiful flowers and the blossom trees…, and I noticed the beautiful high blue sky, like a magical soothing blanket hugging us all… In that moment of mindfulness I felt so humble and so grateful…, all I could say was ‘thank-you’ to my divine being, to the universe and everything that surrounded me… All is well, I said to myself, and everything is the way is meant to be… let go, just let go of everything and be present, very present…
“In order to see birds it is necessary to become part of the silence.” – Robert Lynd
The blue, green and yellow colours came into my mind with such a soothing and joyful effect, I knew now which colours to use in my little project… Here are a couple of images of the process…
It has also been documented that birds, not only can they be trained to help people to perform daily tasks they cannot do, but also birds can heal at many levels. In this context, please allow me to share with you this tender and lovely image that touched my heart and soul the minute I saw it…
