“Wherever you go, always take your heart with you ” – Gloria Embid

Hello my dear friends and the Universe,

Half way through July already and this month’s  project as DT member for ‘A Creative Need’ monthly challenge blog (to be published by ACN next Friday), has given me the opportunity to wish you all a very happy summer holidays and for those who have already been I hope it was a heartfelt happy vacation … This time the wonderful digital image designed by Deena is a car with suitcases on top. I wanted to create a simple and gentle scenary with an organic feeling to it.. So,  here is my first input, a happy colourful and uplifting background on a corrugated paper. There are a few coats of reds, blues, yellows, oranges and green acrylic colours beneath,  plus some golden colour added at random and around the edges ..

I wanted to place a heart somewhere, but I was not sure where. Then, I thought about a previous post where I painted a colourful path and while in this thought I came up with the image I wished to represent in my little canvas this time, a road in a heart shape, which in turn gave me the insight to write the above quote… As my creation was coming together, I felt the magic in the air…

Aren’t you on the holiday mood ????…. As I was engaged on my little and uplifting piece, I was reflecting on how quick time passes by… A year has gone already since my last summer holidays… Once again, I will be on holidays in Spain, the length of my son’s summer school holidays, which is wonderful to be able to spend so much time with him and the family in Spain (specially my mother!)… While I kept painting and allowing all these thoughts to come through, I was also ‘THANKING’ the Universe and the Divine within for such a healthy year, specially my son’s, who did not miss a single day at the school… As you know, health and happiness is my utmost priority… I was also grateful to have my day job, which not only gives me a salary to survive, but also gives me the  ‘freedom’ I need sometimes, for instance having such a long break to look after my son during the whole summer holidays… I AM GRATEFUL TO THE UNIVERSE AND THE DIVINE…  (this has been my mantra for the week!)

I hope my project will contribute to enhance your creativity, uplift your soul and bring positive energies into your life…
