“…every single thing and every single moment of my existence” – G. Embid
Hello everyone and the Universe, how are you today?
‘Thanksgiving’ is the theme I must follow when designing the card for this week’s Brown Sugar Challenge Blog entry, and the sponsor of the image I had to use is Robyns Fetish.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough” – Oprah Winfrey
‘Thanksgiving’ is an american celebration centered around food and family and since there is not racial or ethnic involvement, one can see the beauty and the positive spirit that comes from this holiday.
I focused my thoughts and intention on being thankful for everything while I begun to design my hanging 5.5″x7″ inch inspirational project… Meanwhile, my american fellow artists and friends were present in my heart and in my mind, and I mentally wished them a wonderful and enjoyable ‘thanksgiving’ celebration day…
So, I begun to paint my digital image..
As I was engrossed with the colouring, I’ve got the picture in my mind of a female’s face wearing this image as a hat, which I really liked it, and since I was running out of time (yes, I know, the story of my life!) I decided to use part of the digital image I used on my last post changing and amending s necessary to achieve the idea I had in mind…
The pieces on the left of the above pic are dried leave and flowers which I love using whenever possible and this time it was again a perfect project to do so..
I glued the pieces on a corrugated card board (I love to up cycle them!) covered with some guesso with pink, yellow and blue colours sprayed on it..
Thank you for visiting my post again and I hope the visit was worth it.. xx
“If no one shopped on Thanksgiving Day, the stores wouldn’t open. End of story. I say we all take the pledge and stay home. Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for what you have, not to save a few dollars to get more” – Regina Brett
