“People don’t notice whether it’s winter or summer when they’re happy” – Anton Chekhov
Hello dear friends and kind Universe,
Just very briefly to share with you last Friday’s contribution as a DT member for the Brown Sugar Challenge Blog. The sponsor was Robyns Fetish.
The theme was ‘Winter’, so I thought that the digital image I have to work with was very appropriate. The idea of designing a card in the shape of a crystal ball came into mind, but as I was running out of time I decided to create this lovely and quick card instead..
The blue colour felt very appropriate for the background, so I dropped in some ink sprays onto a piece of card to observe what happened.. 🙂
I liked it a lot and had this great feeling of knowing I could create a very quick greeting card, without putting too much effort and thought into it… I then proceed to colouring the digital image… 🙂
I used cooking paper to create the snow on the ground and I since I am ready for the winter cold, I must have the sun in my card, despite being a very cold winter scene.. 🙂
“In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer” –Albert Camus
The trees really complemented the winter scenery very well, but adding the sentiment was the final touch, although you can see it was done in a rush and even the trunk trees are a bit unfinished for my liking… I think this is the fastest project I have ever created.. (and it was done at about 3.45am, last Thursday, therefore no time for finishing touches, sorry !!)… So, a big thank you for my creative whisper, which I really appreciate very much..!
