Hello my dear friends and kind Universe,
“In times of great stress or adversity, it’s always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive” – Lee Iacocca
I apologise for neglecting my poor blog for so long… Life has been non-stopping since my last post in January… My day job in the office has been ridiculously busy since returning from the Christmas holidays and my son’s school matters and other activities demands my total attention, not to mention my household, and let’s not talk about my personal life (big sigh!)…
So, I decided (sadly) to drop my participation as Design Team member for one of the challenges I have been designing for over a year, but I am happily still designing for ‘A Creative Need’ (ACN) monthly challenge blog, with the adorable Deena, and these are the two latest greeting cards I’ve created for her since the New Year, using her digital images.
In this one the digital image is the car. The making of this card brought back many memories, and although most of them were the most amazing and happy ones, it also pull me back streight into my present moment in time, the reality of my ‘no so happy life’. I’ve got very emotional in the making of this greeting card and felt I could not give the design the heart and positive energy that it deserved.. I am sorry to say that I was not pleased with the end result, but happy that ACN liked it.. 🙂
In this one The digi is the flower, I added the little girl and of course the sentiment to complement the design.. It was a very quick work, and wanted to give the piece a grunge, snubbed and childish aspect.. The result was a very happy and colourful finish, I really liked it.. 🙂
“One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn’t pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself.” – Lucille Ball
In either of these last monthly challenges I was unable to post the process of their making, but I hope you enjoy them anyway.. 🙂
“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start” – Nido Qubein
One other thing that made me very happy at the end of January and kept me extremely busy was that I was commissioned to design a Poster (A2 size) for the Grenada High Commission in London. I will tell you all about in my next post..
Thank you so much for being here… I hope you liked it and visit me again..xx
Welcome back Gloria 😊 like both digi 😊
Thank you so much my dear friend and best fun, I am glad you liked them. Enjoy the weekend..xxx
The process of creating can be difficult sometimes as the act of creating asks us to explore and share our emotions and it often leaves us vulnerable. Thank you for sharing, Gloria, even though it was difficult for you. Your second piece is filled with love, light and sunshine, a happy carefree piece! 🙂 hugs, my friend!
My dearest friend, your words of wisdom heal my soul in so many ways.. I feel a strong mental emotional sinergy.. Thank so much for being here…xx
